Nyerere National Park Tanzania Safaris (Selous Game Reserve)
The Selous Game Reserve, now renamed as Nyerere National Park, is a protected nature reserve and wilderness area in southern Tanzania, East Africa. It covers a total area of 50,000 km², with additional buffer zones, as well.
Large numbers of elephants, black rhinoceroses, cheetahs, giraffes, hippopotamuses and crocodiles live in this immense sanctuary, which measures 50,000 km2 and is relatively undisturbed by human impact. The park has a variety of vegetation zones, ranging from dense thickets to open wooded grasslands.
"We had the car for two weeks, and happy to say we had zero problems. Haji waited for us on the airport, he did our Tanzanian driving permit, explained everything, and we were ready to go. We drove around the island all the time, police stopped us few times, but just to check our driving licences, never made any problems. When back in ZNZ, will definitely hire from Haji again.
